THQ Nordic Games 434270 Editorial Review
Chronos: Before The Ashes (XONE) offers a visually stunning experience, presenting a compelling story that appeals to action-RPG fans, especially those new to the genre. Originally designed for VR, its adaptation features gameplay that retains the essence of a 'Soulslike' environment, though some players feel that its challenges could be unbalanced, particularly with the final boss encounter. The aging mechanic adds a unique twist, but it may not significantly impact gameplay as players progress. Despite some critique regarding its slow pace and lack of replay value, many find it enjoyable for the time invested. The game supports various languages with options for subtitles, ensuring accessibility for a broader audience.
