Maxxis Rekon Race | Dual Compound - EXO | XC Tire Wire Bead

**Editorial Review of MAXXIS Rekon Race Tire** The MAXXIS Rekon Race tire has garnered a mixed reception among its users, particularly praised for its grip and handling in loose stone terrain under dry conditions. Those who have taken to the trails with this tire appreciate its performance, noting that it excels in providing traction where it matters most—on tricky and loose surfaces. However, there are a few points of contention regarding the tire's dimensions. Some users have observed that the tire appears smaller than expected, comparing it to a 2.1 size instead of its indicated measurement. This discrepancy has led to a few users feeling misled by product images. Additionally, while the tire provides good treads, the non-foldable wire bead Construction might not be appealing for all riders, as it typically adds weight and bulk. In summary, the MAXXIS Rekon Race tire is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable front tire for cross-country racing or rugged terrain. Nonetheless, potential buyers should Consider the sizing and Construction type to ensure it meets their specific preferences. **
