If playing on or in front of the neck pickup, they are described as wonderful, exceptionally smooth, and are a joy to play. The strings have crisp highs and booming lows, are smooth as silk and are perfect for playing in a cover band. The strings are an excellent match for '65 Fender bass. They are polished and super smooth, have great tone and never lose it. The strings are amazing, with an excellent feel and tone. They are so smooth that it is almost unnerving at first, but they make it easy to glide your hand around the fretboard. Finally, they transform the sound and playability of a reissue Hofner Club through a Vox Mini Beetle. **
