Occult & Supernatural Editorial Review
**** "Untethered Magic: An Urban Fantasy Thriller" is an engaging addition to the urban fantasy genre that has captured the attention of readers with its unique premise and well-crafted characters. The story revolves around a private detective with magical abilities, specializing in missing persons cases, and gets entangled in a world involving demonic kidnappers and magical creatures. Readers have praised the fast-paced and action-packed narrative, with many noting that it keeps them hooked until the early hours of the morning. Otto, the main character, is portrayed as an endearing figure dedicated to helping others, particularly his comatose wife. His charming persona, along with a supporting cast that includes a snarky werewolf, has resonated positively with audiences. While some readers pointed out a heavy-handed approach to foreshadowing and minor typos, these issues generally did not detract from their overall enjoyment. In fact, many have eagerly expressed a desire to continue the series, indicating the compelling nature of the plot and the characters within. Despite some comparisons to well-known authors like Terry Pratchett and Jim Butcher, opinions on narration varied—particularly for the audiobook version, with some feeling it lacked the lively delivery expected in the genre. In summary, "Untethered Magic" offers an intriguing twist on urban fantasy, drawing readers in with its fun adventure and strong character dynamics. **Pros and Cons:** **
