AirFly Bait Traps Editorial Review
The AirFly Collapsible Crab Trap has garnered a mixed reception from customers but is largely viewed as a practical and innovative option for crab enthusiasts, especially those who prioritize convenience and portability. Many users praise its collapsible design, which allows it to fold flat for easy transport—making it an ideal companion for both casual outings and serious crabbing trips. The trap opens easily and securely with a thoughtful locking mechanism, and the bait clip has been noted as a useful feature that simplifies the crabbing process. Several customers have commented on the lightweight nature of the trap, which appears to enhance its usability, especially when carrying multiple pieces of gear. The Construction seems sturdy enough for multiple uses, with mesh and stitching that stand up to the rigors of crabbing. However, there are concerns about its size, particularly for those targeting larger Dungeness crabs. Some users have noted that the trap may be too small for optimal catches of larger crabs, and adjustments may be needed to ensure it works effectively. There are also mentions of needing to modify certain components to improve performance, particularly regarding the netting and rigging hardware. Overall, while the AirFly trap is recognized for its quality build and practical features, potential buyers should be aware of its limitations in size and Consider it more suitable for smaller crabs. It appears to be a good fit for beginners or casual crabbers who appreciate a compact, easy-to-use trap, but seasoned crabbing veterans may want to explore larger alternatives based on the specific types of crabs they intend to catch. **
