MasterTop Jeep Soft Tops Editorial Review
The MasterTop Strap Style Bimini Top designed for Jeep Wrangler YJ & CJ-7 models from 1978 to 1991 has received a mix of reviews from customers. Many users have praised the quality of the material, particularly the luxurious 3-layer 30 oz MasterTwill fabric that enhances the open-air experience while driving. The top is noted for its durability and overall aesthetic appeal, with some customers expressing satisfaction at receiving the correct color upon purchase, a refreshing change from previous experiences with other brands. However, the installation process has been a point of contention. Some customers reported challenges fitting the top into their windshield channels, attributing this difficulty to the thickness of the fabric compared to their old tops. While a few found solutions through minor adjustments, others struggled with the fit on different Jeep models, particularly older ones like the CJ5. Furthermore, the lack of an anchoring loop for the straps has also been highlighted as a drawback, with one customer mentioning the inadequacy of the provided plastic hook for maintaining tension. Overall, the MasterTop Bimini Top seems to excel in material quality and visual appeal, but potential buyers should be aware of the installation challenges that may arise depending on their specific Jeep model. **
