The Livescribe Aegir smartpen is a light and slim pen, but it does not have an onboard microphone or speaker for audio recordings. It requires special paper to function. The pen uses D1 style ink cartridge for refills, and it comes with a micro-USB cable to charge. The battery life is short, and it can drain after a day of usage but can be charged using a standard phone charger. It pairs with the app on both iOS and Android via Bluetooth, and the accuracy is good. The pen has multilingual transcription abilities. The reviews are mixed. Some customers found that the pen underperformed in terms of durability and that customer support was unresponsive.
