Metra 70-1764 Radio Wiring Harness for Nissan 87-94 Amp Harness

The Metra 70-1764 Radio Wiring Harness for Nissan models, particularly for the 1996 Nissan 300ZX with a Bose radio, has received mixed feedback from customers. Many users appreciate its solid Construction and the appropriate mating connectors, indicating that the quality of the build is commendable. However, a significant drawback noted by customers is the use of RCA male plugs for the speaker connections instead of bare wire, which is Considered standard for wiring harnesses. This design choice has led to confusion, as the spliced wires on the plugs are color-coded incorrectly, making it difficult to identify positive from negative connections if the connectors are cut off. While some customers have found the harness functionality satisfactory for their needs, others have reported compatibility issues, particularly with older Nissan models, which may not fit or work as advertised. This has led to frustration, particularly when users have invested time and materials into installations, only to discover that the harness does not meet their vehicle's requirements. In summary, while the Metra 70-1764 offers good build quality, potential buyers should carefully verify compatibility with their specific Nissan model and be aware of the non-standard RCA connector setup, which could lead to installation challenges. **
