The ice crusher is made of aluminum alloy, plastic and has a food-grade non-corrosive stainless steel blade that can make both fine and coarse ice as well as powdery ice. Unfortunately, it cannot make standard snowflake flakes. Several customers experienced a malfunction in the motor after several months of use, which resulted in the unit humming instead of crushing ice. They were able to make the blades move by manually turning the scoop to the point where the motor started working again. It was noted that the unit caused a lot of mess, as the leftover ice melted off the machine. Some customers were disappointed with the small ice bowl, while others found it easy to use and highly recommended it.
