It includes one regular board, a padded three-tier flap set, a padded head strap, and four arm/wrist straps. With a weight of just 4 lbs and dimensions of 37" L x 11" W (at the widest point), the board is lightweight and compact for easy handling. The Papoose Board operates on the proven splint principle, effectively binding the child to the rigid board to suppress any struggling. It is quickly and easily applied using three sets of opposing canvas flaps with Velcro fasteners.
The diagonal shape of the board allows the flaps to crisscross, ensuring a snug and secure restraint. For additional arm immobilization or when the torso strap needs to be open, the four arm/wrist straps can be utilized. The adjustable head strap, included with the regular board, stabilizes the child's head during treatment. (An optional separate head immobilizer is also available).
