Devardi Glass SK-Advanced1 Editorial Review
The Devardi Glass Lampworking Starter Kit offers a great starting point for those who are willing to learn the basic nuances and techniques of working with Devardi rods to make glass. The kit comes with a torch, rods, and an instructional DVD, and also includes tools such as a marble mold, flat graphite marver pad, tweezers, and a pick. The torch and other tools in the kit have received very positive feedback, and the glass is of high quality. However, some customers experienced cracking when the beads had cooled too fast, but this can be prevented by using vermiculite as a cooler. Proper ventilation is essential while working with the kit, and it is recommended to use a kitchen stove hood that ventilates to the outside. The kit is also not limited to lamp-working, as with the right tools extra, one can make glass Christmas ornaments, for example. Customers who have purchased this kit have praised its prompt delivery, efficient packaging, and affordability, making it a great starter kit.
