The Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Radius Zone device is an EPA evaluated device that repels mosquitoes using heat to activate a natural repellent. The advertised effective range of the device is 15ft. It can be used in outdoor areas around the home such as patios and balconies, however, it's not recommended for use indoors. The device is pet-friendly and there is no concern associated with using it around household animals. The device needs to be charged, and the charging process takes a few hours. Users can tell whether the shut-off timer is activated by noticing a light pulse around the on/off button when in auto-off mode. The device comes with a quick refill feature, and the process of changing refills is relatively easy. There have been some complaints about the device, such as cartridges with the solution leaking out into the box, making packaging unattractive and messy. Some people have received defective products that won’t charge, while others report that the device didn’t work at all. Overall, the device appears to work well when everything is functioning as it should. It is an easy-to-use device that is highly effective at repelling mosquitoes.
