Lindemann Boat Compasses Editorial Review
The Lindemann Original Portland Plotter has received mixed reviews from users. While some have praised the build quality and accuracy of the plotter, others have pointed out discrepancies in the measurements provided. One user mentioned that the conversion rate on the plotter was incorrect, stating that 1Nm should be equal to 1.15 miles, not 1.51 miles as indicated on the product. Despite this issue, many users have found the Lindemann plotter to be a significant improvement over their previous models, with clearer figures, thinner lines, and a more stable center bearing. Users have noted that the plotter is easy to handle, feels solid in hand, and allows for accurate course plotting with few errors. Some have even stated that it has replaced their need for parallel rulers. However, a common concern among users is the lack of friction in the rotating compass rose, leading to difficulties in keeping it in place. Some users have also expressed a desire for the plotter to come with a protective sleeve for storage. In conclusion, the Lindemann Original Portland Plotter is a well-built and accurate tool for navigation, with clear markings and improved accuracy. However, the issues with the rotating compass rose and the incorrect conversion rate may be significant drawbacks for some users. **
