Are the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens permanent?

Yes, Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens are permanent once dry. The pigments are lightfast and waterproof, making them ideal for artwork that requires durability and longevity. Artists can confidently use them for mixed media, knowing that their artwork will maintain its integrity.

Can I use the Pitt Artist Pens on different types of paper?

Absolutely! The Pitt Artist Pens are versatile and can be used on a wide range of paper types, including sketch pads, watercolor paper, and mixed media surfaces. How do I care for my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens?

To care for your Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens, store them horizontally to prevent ink from drying out in the nib. Avoid leaving the caps off for extended periods, as this can lead to drying. Faber-Castell Crayons 127036 Editorial Review

The Faber-Castel FC167150 Pitt Artist Pen Gift Set is a versatile and highly recommended set for beginners. Users found the range of colors to be varied and easy to handle. The delivery of the product was also prompt, enhancing the overall customer experience. However, some users expressed disappointment with the quality of the pens, comparing them unfavorably to the Pentel brand. They found the pens to be dry and not blending well, falling short of their expectations. Additionally, some customers mentioned that the pens did not mix as well as the product description claimed. On the positive side, other users highly praised the set, particularly noting the smoothness of the pens and the vibrant colors. They even mentioned being able to dilute the colors with linseed oil or turpentine, creating a homemade oil paint effect. However, they also noted that the paintings took a while to dry and that over time, the paper and painting can turn yellow unless intentionally creating an aged look. The durability of the pens was Considered average, specifically for professional artists who require colors that are heavily used, such as white. Some customers suggested that it would be beneficial if Faber-Castell sold individual colors separately. Overall, while this gift set may not meet the expectations of experienced artists looking for high-quality blending pens, it is a solid option for beginners or those looking to experiment with different colors and techniques.
